BASES
YWAM LAE
Winterford and Lone Barua are overseers of YWAM Lae base operations. YWAM Lae has ministry focus on Engaging the Settlements, Serving local Body of Christ through the vision of seeing Lae city transformed through Church unity, Arrows, Back to School programs, King’s Kids, Community Engagement helping with the YWAM ship, Evangelism, Developing Mercy Mission, Hospital and Prison Visitations and Religious Education Instructions at Primary and Secondary Schools, and have started literacy programs.
YWAM Lae generally runs one DTS a year.
YWAM MARKHAM
Kisu and Yunepe Lutu are the overseers of YWAM Markham. The Lutu family was sent out to Zumangurun, in the Kaiapit District of Markham 2, in the year 2015 from YWAM Lae base and started the work in Zumangurun. Their ministry is concentrated on Kings Kids and they hope to build a farm for young people and recently started a literacy programs. They are still pioneering and building on the base. YWAM Markham, like YWAM Lae is also in Morobe Province.
The base has run a couple DTS’s now.
YWAM MT. HAGEN
Florence Paulus and Elizabete Ferreira provide the leadership covering for YWAM Mt. Hagen. YWAM Mt. Hagen is located on Ramba Road, at Kalina up in the hills outside of Mt. Hagen Town. YWAM Mt. Hagen also run a very successful Kindergarten School under the leadership of Elizabete Ferreira and her amazing team. This has a focus on children from 3 to 11 years old in 5 different locations, Bible Study focus for teens aged 12 to 18 years in 4 locations in Komkui community.
YWAM Mt. Hagen are currently running DTS every year and various second level schools from time to time.
YWAM YONKI
Scopy and Miriam Uwako are overseers of YWAM Yonki. It is located in Eastern Highlands Province as the gateway to seven Highlands Provinces of Papua New Guinea. Over the past few years YWAM Yonki worked lot into North Coast of Papua New Guinea, and also have sent teams to West Papua. YWAM Yonki are currently pioneering a new base in Vanimo.
YWAM Yonki runs one DTS a year.
YWAM PORT MORESBY
Kuriva Aivei is the overseer for YWAM Gereka, Port Moresby. The base is currently being developed to expand its facilities and accommodation, they are based on the outskirts of Port Moresby. The base has a particular passion toward the Aboriginal peoples of Australia.
So far they have run 2 DTS’s and have plans for more.
YWAM NATIONS & SPHERES
Robbie & Nam are the overseers for YWAM Nations & Spheres. They have been leading YWAM in part of Asia for the past 25 years and will be returning to PNG to start a new expression of the YWAM Family, within Port Moresby. YWAM Nations & Spheres has a particular focus on equipping young emerging leaders to impact the nations through the 7 spheres of society.
In 2020 they will run their first DTS.
